However, you’ve a got a long way to go before you can call yourself Champ. You have to punch your way through the leagues from Minor to World Circuit. The matches are governed by regular boxing rules with rounds lasting about 3 minutes a piece. In most of the fights you are somewhat at a disadvantage as opponents get much harder as you go along. Your moves include: left and right jabs and body shots; and an uppercut. You can also defend yourself by dodging side to side, ducking, or blocking. The opponents have rather unique personalities and require different fight strategies. Notoriously difficult, this game really tests your skills.

Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! got excellent reviews when it was released and, as any fan will tell you, it’s still fun now. Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!
